Location
Lateral to the umbilicus, about 2 cun from the ventral midline, bilaterally.
Landmark: Abdominal wall lateral to rectus abdominis at the level of the umbilicus.
Actions and Indications
Regulates intestinal motility in both diarrhoea and constipation.
Needling
Perpendicular and shallow, 0.5-1 cm; tent the skin in a thin animal.
Cautions
Care in marked bloat or an abdominal mass.
