Location
On the ventral midline of the neck, in the depression cranial to the manubrium.
Landmark: Depression at the thoracic inlet, ventral to the trachea.
Actions and Indications
Directs qi downward and stops cough.
Needling
Oblique caudally, parallel to the trachea, shallow 0.3-0.5 cm.
Cautions
Never perpendicular — risk to the trachea and great vessels.
