Location
On the head, on the dorsal midline at the level midway between the ear bases.
Landmark: Dorsal midline of the cranium over the sagittal crest.

Raises yang, calms the spirit, opens the mind.
Needling
Oblique, shallow 0.2-0.5 cm, parallel to the skull.
Cautions
Never perpendicular and deep. Note: the Bai-hui most used in veterinary practice is the classical lumbosacral point, not GV-20.
