Location
In the middle of the popliteal crease, between the tendons of biceps femoris and semitendinosus.
Landmark: Centre of the popliteal fossa.
Actions and Indications
Frees the lower back and cools the blood; command point of the back.
Needling
Perpendicular 0.5-1.5 cm.
Cautions
Avoid the vessels and nerve in the centre of the fossa.
